Mcbrown, PY are Bad MCs for ‘Unity’ Concerts
The event dubbed Vodafone Unity Concert was hosted in support of the Stephen Appiah Unity football match. The MC’s for the evening were the versatile Nana Ama McBrown and PY Addo Boateng.

For every well themed show, the MCs can actually make or unmake the event pap but here at the just ended unity concert before the weekend, Mcbrown and PY just killed the vibes of the hundred and one patrons who gathered to cheer their artistes to victory.

After the late start of the Vodafone Unity Concert, two known faces; one from the Kumawood industry and the other from the Television industry, Nana Ama Mcbrown who agreed to PY Addo’s comment that she’s a ‘fool’ and ‘fools’ for money jumps on stage to coordinate patrons for the much awaited concert.

Both MCs performed terribly bad and looked confused most of the time. There was no proper communication to engage the annoyed audience who were just waiting to witness what the billed artistes had in stock for them.

As hosts, Mcbrown tried to act funny which didn’t work, PY who could have stayed out of trouble’s way decided to pull a non-laughable joke which confused the audience and football celebrities seated that the venue.

The most annoying part of their stage craft was the way they introduced the artistes. I’m sure most people will be wondering why he didn’t even get his facts about William Gallas right… of course, it happens.

The Vodafone Unity Concert could have been well handled by DKB, a comedian who could have managed to sustain the frustrated audience whilst the artistes readied their performances. Nothing makes an event appalling than having two MCs who seem distant about what’s even going on – on their own show.

Although the just ended Vodafone Unity Concert had it major flaws, the evening was saved by the spectacular performances from Stonebwoy, VVIP, Efya and SP Kofi Sarpong. Patch Bay band did amazingly great as well especially when they managed to get their keys right for Stonebwoy’s back-to-back live performance hits.
