It is unclear what sparked Thursday night’s inferno but officers of the Ghana National Fire Service have confirmed the fire is under control and there’s no cause for panic or fear.

The popular night club Vienna City located opposite the Goil Filling Station – which suffered a fire disaster on June 3, 2015 was razed by fire which was reported to have started around 8pm (31Mar16) according to workers who reported for their evening shift.




Assistant Chief Fire Officer of the Ghana National Fire Service speaking in an interview revealed there are no casualties and they managed to keep the fire from spreading to surrounding areas.

Asked what they did different to stablize the fire, Assistant Chief Fire Officer (ACFO) Ebenezer Simpson of the Ghana National Fire Service stated their arrival on time helped cease the fire.




“We got here on time and did our best to stop the fire from spreading”

“Our men are trained for these incidents and the public can count on us for our service”

“Although the fire was spreading quickly, we managed some desperate means to get the fire from spreading to adjoining buildings which could have sparked other events”

Vienna City, a nightclub and pub located at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle, opposite the GCB towers has been razed by fire and the building although it survived humans has lost enough cash and products for future detailings..
