Two of the best feminine voices in Ghana -no doubt! BET Best New International Artist Viewers’ Choice Award nominee, MzVee teams up with multiple award-winning artiste, Efya, on their latest, “Abofra.” When the duo released the audio(without the visuals) I anticipated the visuals and to make my journey complete, it’s finally here! It’s nothing new to the normal. Although the video failed to tell the story it ended up playing the story so we can see MzVee having fun like a kid. Jumping from one end of the video to the other end and then Efya continues and they finally take their steps together… Less fun but great visuals.
From what looks like tatted Denim jeans on their curly hairs to the bright coloured attire was epic! Perfect costumes for the music video. “Abofra” literally translates “A Child/Child” and the song talks about life, from a stage of losing oneself as a child to the stage where one can actually take hold of his/her activities without depending on parents. But the brilliant artistes were quick to add “Nanso aka kakra” which also means “there’s more room for improvement”. Abofra was directed by Nana Kofi Asihene (NKACC). Happy viewing
