Toyota Ghana Company Limited has extended its charity arms to the Adabraka Polyclinic by refurbishing the outpatient-patients department (OPD) at a total cost of GH¢ 16,079.
The gesture according to Tetsuya Suematsu, Managing Director of Toyota Ghana Limited, forms part of the company’s social responsibility towards residents in the area.
Speaking at the ceremony to commission the refurbished patient waiting area at Adabraka Polyclinic on Friday, Mr. Suematsu noted Toyota Ghana believes health is wealth for that matter, a healthy community is a productive community hence the need for them to support Adabraka Polyclinic in giving the patient waiting area of the Polyclinic a facelift.
He said due to the company’s commitment in addressing issues of healthcare, the management of Toyota Ghana has dismissed other proposals only to answer to the second call of Adabraka Polyclinic to help refurbish the OPD, which will provide a comfortable sitting environment for the over 200 patients who visit the clinic on daily basis.
According to him, the first time the company heeded calls of the Adabraka Polyclinic was when it renovated the phase one of the nurses’ stations of the Out-Patients-Department.
“We believe our gesture will go a long way to transform the lives and health status of patients, staff and the entire Ghanaian populace,” he hinted.
Toyota Ghana Company Limited has been a very responsible corporate organization availing itself to Ghanaians not only for their vehicle needs, but also, contributing socially to sectors such as education, environment, road safety and health in Ghana.
