Ghanaian music has finally been embraced by the diaspora platforms.

An event dubbed “Diaspora Calling” presented by Ms Lauren Hill will feature top Ghanaian artistes, Stonebwoy, E.L and Jojo Abot who will be performing alongside the lady herself Lauryn Hill on Friday, April 15, 2016 at the King’s Theatre, Brooklyn, United States of America.

This isn’t the first major concert for the Ghanaian acts although several of the local champs have been worldly recognized, this is an improvement that will go a long way into shaping the Ghanaian music industry and encourage ahaspora and diaspora music promotions.




“Diaspora Calling” is a three-day series of music and art experiences is organized by the Grammy winner in association with streaming service, Tidal. It started yesterday and will culminate in a music concert, which will be headlined by Ms. Hill.




“Diaspora Calling! is a collection of works intended to celebrate the rich tapestry of artists from the African Diaspora while also illumining persistent and irrepressible themes… Even if we work independently, we are a resounding collective voice, both reconciling and embracing our relationship to history, our origins, our future and to ourselves.” says Hill.

Stephen Marley, Mr. Eazi, WondaBoy and others will be performing at the event, and will be streamed live on Tidal.
