Soulja Boy claims Chris Brown has pulled out of their celebrity boxing match which was rumoured to come off in Las Vegas over three rounds even though a date was never announced.
The “Crank That” rapper seemed excited for the fight as he has been running around social media bragging about joining The Money Team.
For the undercard of the fight, 50 and Money May were trying to set up 21 Savage vs. 22 Savage for the rights to the Savage name as well as a fight between NBA rivals Kenyon Martin and Tim Thomas.
The latest development came as 50 claimed that Soulja Boy got robbed in Los Angeles, but the fight is still on they promised.
Chris Brown and Soulja Boy have been involved in a feud on social media and that resulted in the arranged fight.
Their grudge started after Soulja Boy liked and left a comment below a picture on the profile of Karrueche Tran, Chris Brown’s ex-girlfriend.
The pair posted several videos and pictures mocking and threatening each other as the argument heated up.
Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson had back Christ Brown whilst Floyd Mayweather gave his support to Soulja Boy. But 50 Cent had backed Chris Brown to win the fight and said he’d be placing a $100,000 bet on the outcome of the pay-per-view event
Mike Tyson was training Chris Brown while Soulja Boy was being put through his paces by another boxing star, Floyd Mayweather and his team.
In a recent tweet, the rapper has revealed that, the $1m grudge fight is off.
“Chris brown manager called my manager last night and said the fight is off and he’s not signing contract. Don’t ask me about [it] no more.
“I aint gon say… he shook or nothing. I’m just gon say he don’t wanna fight. simple. I can’t force him to sign the [contract].”
Mike Tyson said on social media that he’d been recording a Soulja Boy diss tape last month but nothing’s been released after his brief mock tape.
Chris Brown, 27, and Soulja Boy, 26, have been criticised by fans and other celebrities for their public feud.
Soulja Boy has been accused of using the match as a tactic to boost his music career.
