Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr popularly known as Shatta Wale, the multiple award-winning dancehall artiste has descended heavily on Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMBRO).
Shatta Wale took to micro blogging site Twitter unleash his bitter issues and what’s possibly hindering progress of the Ghanaian entertainment industry, especially the music industry.
He questioned the acclaimed effective laws the country currently prides itself with amongst other copyright issues.
He is among the many musicians who do not or haven’t received enough royalties amid the booming music business and dozen record released occasionally. This backlash to him would put him in the bad light of the authorities but to Shatta Wale, it’s better said than pretend all is well.
Shatta Wale, ever since his resurrection in the music industry have thrived on “diss” and other “smart-talk”conditions to promote himself, stayed relevant to continue his music career.
He is a good artiste, no doubt but his actions are sometimes unthinkable.
He looks a lone fight in this game even though many artistes support his fight, many have failed to throw support behind his efforts, the few who did, have declined along the way due to one or two reasons. Shatta Wale can pass for the most accused “notorious” artistes in Ghana.
Tweeting about the political side of his Twitter eruption, he appreciated the fact that politician(s), as a matter of fact, the NDC appreciate and love his song to the extent of using it on their campaign platforms.
Even though he hasn’t officially laid his endorsement plans, he still believe “PRESIDENTS ALL OVER THE WORLD WILL ONCE IN THEIR LIFE TIME LISTEN TO THEIR FRIENDS CAMPAIGN SONGS. WHICH ONE OF THEM WILL BE SHATTA WALE’S.”
