Obour and His Team Failed Musicians – Shatta Wale
Obour and His Team Failed Musicians - Shatta Wale
The musician union of Ghana earlier released an official statement, signed by the Musiga President himself Bice Osei Kuffour aka Obour, desisting musicians from recording songs that may contain clear profane lyrics.

It is believed that Musiga’s decision was a reaction to Shatta Wale’s recent release, a song titled ‘Wo mamme T**’. However, Shatta Wale seems not to be happy about that, so reacts to Musiga’s ban on profane songs. He has released a statement heatedly stating his disagreement, and why he thinks Musiga has no right to ban profane songs.

According to Shatta Wale, Musiga banning profane songs is a total disgrace because he believes it does in a way limits an artiste’s creativity.

This is his full statement in regards to the Unions decision to warn artistes about profane songs:

“We have seen musicians come and go down. All becuase they dont speak out for their rights. This so called industry has made musicians so poor till now that musicians cant even make ends meat. Its a total disgrace to hear musiga come out to think banning of profane songs can change our industry but don’t think of educating musicians to see this career as a business venture which most musicians need more than anything. Obuor and your team sit up cuz all what you see these days is called the “REVOLUTION”, he posted on his personal facebook timeline.

Shatta Wale’s Wo mamme T** single which he releases days back caused a lot of controversies amid music fanatics, pundits and even his SM empire.
