“Mr Logic doesn’t have the right to announce Vybrant Faya’s death”

Mr Logic doesn't have the right to announce Vybrant Faya's deathEntertainment Pundit Nana Otu Gyandoh on an Accra based radio station Pluzz FM today (24th OCt, 2016) has lashed the management of Vybrant Faya for being the first to announce the sudden demise of their artiste to the general public.

Earlier reports claimed the “Mampi” hitmaker was involved in a motor accident on the Tema motor way and that lead to his untimely death.

The news of Ghana’s young dancehall artiste went viral after a statement was published and Mr. Logic confirmed the news to some media. The statement reads:

Management of SMF received heartbreaking news of the death of dancehall musician and award winning entertainer Emmanuel Kojo Quayeson known by his stage name as Vybrant faya at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra after being involved in motor accident on the Tema motorway, on Sunday 23rd October 2016.

We are shocked and in total state of sorrow. We met with Vybrant and some of his family members on Sunday afternoon around 3pm and had a rather good discussion. Few hours after their departure we had a telephone call that Vybrant Faya had been admitted at the 37 Military Hospital after being involved in an accident.

A team from SMF was quickly dispatched to the hospital only to be told that our brother has passed on. We are grief-stricken and cannot hold back our tears. Our deep condolences to the family. Family of Vybrant Faya is yet to release official statement on the issue. May Allah find a peaceful place for you brother till we meet.

Mr Logic

Meanwhile Nana Otu Gyandoh has disparaged with the SMF’s explaination to the cause of Vybrant Faya’s death.

“In Ghana it is only the family who has the power to be the first to announce the death of their royal but not a record label.”

He continued: “We are in an industry supposedly built on sentiments culturally so we have to act, learn and do right… SMF should come out and apologise for what they have done earlier on and move on from the point of view as Ghanaians because it could happen to any of them. SMF goofed big time by being the first to release an official statement announcing the death of their label artiste”.

Until his demise, Vybrant Faya was popular for songs like Mamapi, Budum Budum, Shatta Party, Ama Maaga, Pretty Pussy amongst others.

Family of young artiste are yet to release official statement on the issue. May Allah find a peaceful place for his soul.
