Lupe Fiasco to release 3 albums in 2016

lupe fiascoWasalu Muhammad Jaco, better known by his stage name Lupe Fiasco, is an American rapper, record producer, and entrepreneur who rose to fame in 2006 following the success of his debut album, Lupe Fiasco’s Food & Liquor.

Now that Lupe is a free agent, he’s planning to do things differently and his way. The Chicago-based rapper release his plans for 2016 and it included a tour and three album releases. It looks like Lupe Fiasco will be taking the headlines come 2016.

He took to micro-blogging site Twitter to make the big announcement. Quite brief.
“Attention Lupe Fans: 3 full album releases in 2016,” he tweeted.

The first album in the series will be Drogas. He also hinted that a sequel to his 2007 LP Lupe Fiasco’s The Cool was in the works and pegged for a Winter 2017 date.

“The Cool is dead….long live The Cool 2,” said Lupe. Check out his tweet below.

Lupe’s last album, Tetsuo & Youth, was released in January and marked his final album under contract for Atlantic Records.
Before he drops any new music, Lupe Fiasc will commence his “Tour for the Fans” on Jan. 13 in Seattle. The month-long tour will make stops in Los Angeles, Houston, New York, and more through Feb. 13.
