Ghanaian hiplife artist, Emmanuel Botchwey known by his stage name as Kwaw Kese, also popularly called Abodam is a one of the few great performers Ghana can ever boast off when is comes to music, stagecraft and street madness. He has been in the news for various reasons in recent times; talk of his little feud with out-gone artiste Kontihene and his unending issues with Shatta Wale just to mention few.
Kwaw Kese celebrated his 38th birthday Wednesday, October 7 and he had most of the industry players wishing him well. Sarkodie, D-black, DJ Breezy, Stonebwoy and others sent out their best wishes to the “man insane” with Stonebwoy’s “Happy Birthday Blessings Going Out To the Original King Of the Streets The Mad Time CEO @kwawkese May God Grant You Long Life.. Ultimately Let His Will Be Done in Your Life” being misquoted by many.
Celebrating his birthday, Kwaw Kese’s wife gave him a surprise birthday party which had few friends and relatives around last night at the Nshiraba Kojo City (Club) off the spintex road. The evening saw Kwaw Kese’s Manchester United birthday cake presentation.
In an earlier interview on Happy FM, Kwaw Kese touched on the reason why he doesn’t go to church which to many is a normal behaviour of the ordinary Ghanaian and he should overcome it whilst time pass him by.
“I attend church but I don’t want to make it public. I attend ICGC on the Spintex Road, Adegon. Anytime I walk into church most people get distracted because other members will either tap or draw their attention to see me come in. Because of that I’m not able to attend church always. I don’t want to distract the man of God from deserving the people with God’s work. But I really worship God.”
