Music plays an important role in the socialization of children and adolescents. Popular music is present almost everywhere, and everyday. It is easily available through the radio, various recordings, the Internet, and new technologies, allowing adolescents to hear it in diverse settings and situations, alone or shared with friends.
Titles of these songs have somewhat had major influence on their visuals especially from the music artworks down to the videos itself and other snippets that follows.
Most artistes have taken advantage of profanity to unleash semi-nude videos that the world can’t escape but call it porn. Others have tried censoring their creativity and have earned respect from many music pundits and critics globally. Guru is one of such great champs from Ghana circulating creative visuals that sparks not only from his vulgar terms and music titles but also from his decent costumes mostly portrayed in his videos.
Let me preface this by saying: I am a major fan of Ghanaian music not because I live here but I mostly would prefer listening to Taylor Swift, and Rihanna, 50 Cent, Hov, Twenty One Pilots and probably put E.L’s Agbo on repeat for no reason… typical me but…
I’ve danced around my living room to “Gold,” listened to “Are You Aware” and that favourite produced by cash Two “Never (Atanfo Nye Nyame)” over and over and yes, I’m going tell you why Guru is a bag of creativity Ghanaians have refused to pay attention to!
Like many others, I was excited about his latest video ‘Booze N Boobs’. In terms of showing women with huge ass and boobs all soiled in milky stuff with full nudity, the video did really disappoint guys but guess what, Guru slayed the scenes with his simple attitude portrayed in the Salifu Abdul Hafiz directed video.
The desert-like scene, if not the same venue, similar to where rapper E.L shot his “Kaa Bu Ame” music video wasn’t a bad scene but a lazy job done by DC Films. Since Salifu Abdul Hafiz is the same guy on Guru’s BnB video, I might just conclude the director need a bit of variety for his videos scenes to make these top notched stars stand out properly in their creatives. For instance, he reproduced the exact scene entrance he did for E.L in Guru’s BnB video and also remade the car scene with the tires screeching the sand same as E.Ls. His drone shots too were almost from the same angles which defeats the purpose of his creativity but aside that, I believe, he scored more points on the shots than anything else.
Guru! I think the Kumasi-based champion is everywhere now! Look at his bossy attitude at scene 2:33 through to 40. You could clearly see how Roll who was on the chorus compliments the scenes.
From quality pictures to clean environment and almost an empty-club-like scene with just Guru, Roll and of course the lady with small ass qualifying Booze N Boobs queen. Well, the NKZ artiste did justice to the video.
You can tell I’m a fan of his captivating music videos lately. From Guru’s ‘Gold’ video where he dressed like a Pharoah and like the prince of Bermuda all stunned in gold with his queen and now BNB that talks about a secret lover who doesn’t need publicity.
We might as well hope this video brings in some glory in future. Go ahead and enjoy every bit below.
