Ghanaian DJs Should Play My Songs – Koo Ntakra

ntakra-promo3 Akuapeam based Rapper, Koo Ntakra has voiced his concerns Youngstars face in the Ghanaian music industry.

Directing his fraustrations to his latest single ‘Wurewurafo’, he made a giant comparison of his song to that of Gasmilla’s “Telemo” which has had massive air play and almost one of the favourite of various DJs across the lenght and breath of the country.

Koo Ntakra is sad his “banger” hasn’t received the necessary attention it needed.

“This is killing the dream of many talented artistes who even have bigger songs than the ace stars, but because our system is monopolized and the ‘who-you-know’ syndrome continues to rule it will be difficult for them to live up to their dreams or fulfill their potential.” he narrated.

Wurewurafo is one of the many good songs on the young rappers album, along with the likes of ‘Medaase’ which features Keche, Odorkor-Kaneshie, Bad Figure and others.

The former winner from MTN Hitmaker also revealed that, he has been a victim of DJ-presenters sidelining him because, some expect him to pay huge amounts from his prize won from the reality show two years ago of which was basically an album recording deal, which was invested in his maiden Akuaba album released last year.

Zibortey is his next song which is set to released in the coming week after Wurewurafo.

The yet to be released song features Danso Abiam. Koo Ntakra is pleading on radio stations and Djs to help young artistes by giving them time on their shows to also promote their works. Watch Wurewurafo video below.
