Ghanaian artistes should push their brands beyond Ghana – Stonebwoy


Multiple-award winning dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy, has advised his colleague Ghanaian artistes to look at getting recognition beyond the shores of Ghana in order to boost their profiles.
Stonebwoy in an interview with Showbiz said that from his observation, his recent travels across the globe; he had noticed that Ghanaian acts had not yet achieved the international status as compared to neighbouring countries’ artistes.

The Best International Act, Africa winner at the just ended BET Awards, said:

“It’s a fact that Ghanaian artistes are not known out there very much and there is no need to pretend or dispute this. What we have to do is to push our brands and that is what I aim to do, one day at a time.”

Stonebwoy just returned from South Africa, after attending the MTV Africa Music Awards(MAMAs), where he lost the award of Best New Act to Patoranking of Nigeria.

The new ambassador for KIA motors confirmed to Showbiz that he used the opportunity he had outside the country to work on a number of collaborations with some international acts, fans should get reader to GO HIGHER! Release dates will be announced soon.

Stonebwoy has been nominated in three categories: Best Male West African Act, Best Dancehall Artiste and Song of the Year in the upcoming African Muzik Magazine Awards(AFRIMMA) ceremony slated for Texas, USA,in October 10, 2015.
