Happiness is usually the result of having a meaningful life, not what makes life worth living in itself.
It has been over 54 years of marriage in which Madam Kufuor got to be the first lady of Ghana between 2001 and 2009. Mrs Theresa Aba Kufuor, a devout Roman Catholic, is a mother of five and a grandmother of eight. She is a retired nurse and midwife with expertise in Nursing Management/Administration.
Despite being the first lady of Ghana for eight years, she has managed to maintain a low profile in the political arena. In 2007 she pushed for policy changes in the Government’s white paper on Educational Reforms towards the implementation of UNESCO’s Free compulsory universal basic education (FCUBE) program for kindergarten children.
The founded of the Mother and Child Community Development Foundation (MCCDF), a non-governmental organisation operating in Ghana and Canada that supports work in prevention of mother to child transmission will turn 82 in 6 months time and to celebrate this milestone ahead of time, we will share some photo moments of the mother-of-five and wife of Former President of Ghana John Agyekum Kufuor.
Photos from her younger days, marriage and how she looks now. It’s a grace transformation to see Madam Theresa Kuffour live a life worth living.
Mrs Kufuor loves singing and shows this by her committed membership of the Church Choir. She is a forward-looking woman, who is known to have supported her husband enthusiastically in his campaign for the presidency.
Meanwhile, former President John Agyekum Kufuor has also been appointed a Senior Grand Warden of the United Grand Lodge of England (UGLE) last Wednesday by the United Grand Lodge of England Grand Master, Prince Edward, the Duke of Kent, who is the longest serving Grand Master.
