She followed up with two records after these reality shows. eShun birthed “Meye” and “Dance with Daddy”, according to LoudsoundGH
The “Obama City Awards” New Artiste of the year; eShun, was hosted by DJ Frank Abeeku on his most listened show “Wack or Dope” which air on Gentlemen Radio and was broadcasted live on Rivers Fm 90.1 in Ghana. The interview lasted about 40 minutes, and half of the time was spent talking about her music career. The host confessed to her that, he has been inspired by “Dance With Daddy” tune in which she featured Kofi Bentil, a Gospel artiste. The song emphasized on celebrating fathers and also a father advising daughter on choices she should make as a woman.
Asked by Dj frank Abeeku whether there is a deeper meaning in her song, she said; “It’s daughter love for daddy.. I love my daddy more than my mom and that inspired me to compose a song to honor him”. The rest of her comment could be heard on the audio.
eShun calls on Female musicians in Ghana to stop seeing each other as competitors but instead unite as one and support the women’s movement to make their voice heard… A statement she made when Dj frank asked her about the challenges the female artists face in the music industry that is dominated by male.
On issues of getting radio airplay for her songs, she bitterly complained about the new habit of djs and presenters seeking for money from artists before they air their song. She said; “They play Chris Brown, Rihanna and others songs without asking for money and turn around to ask us for money before playing our songs, it not fair!!”
Last but not the least, eShun talks about her new project to fight cancer in Ghana and asked listeners to Hashtag #Noway2cancer which is “brand” word of her latest song No Way featuring VVIP.
