GHONE TV which is owned by Charter House has been taken over by Bola Ray and Kwabena Duffour’s EIB Network, owners of Starr FM, Kasapa FM, Empire FM, Live FM and several other media outlets in Ghana. Now they have a complete portfolio of broadcasting units and from their achievements so far, we can be assured of quality amidst the chaotic platforms.
A deal has been reached for ownership of the few-years-old station to change hands.
The deal comes into effect November 1, 2015, making GHOne an official addition to EIB Network , a group that owns other properties in radio, print and online reports from EnewsGh.Com confirms.
EIB Network in the months leading up to the takeover gave the strongest indication of how ready they were to play big in Ghana’s growing media ecosystem. Recently, the company took part in the 2015 edition of the MIPCOM Content Show in Cannes, France, in preparation for the takeoff of its television project.
A free-to-air (FTA) TV station offering a mix of local and international entertainment and lifestyle programming, GHOne is also available on Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) as well as satellite. It can be accessed in the Greater Accra Region, parts of the Eastern, Central and Volta Regions, and in the Ashanti and Western Regions, as well as Tamale.
