Songstress Efya has launched her first studio album “Janesis” at the Plot 7 lounge and Club in Osu.

The album launch and autograph signing session was attended by several celebrities who were there to support the Songstress.

The “Janesis” album features stars like Sarkodie, E.L, Ice Prince (Nigeria), and Bisa Kdei. Legendary Beats, and Kill Beatz were involved in the production of the album.

The album also entails beautiful songs like “I can”, “Sometimes”, “Jorley”, “Gingam Too Much”, “Deception” amongst others.

Speaking at the launch Efya said “I am excited finally we are launching my album Janesis which means I’ve just started. When you keep winning you tend to forget you don’t have an album.”

Meanwhile, the album had a huge travel margin hitting close to $250,000 dollars, taking into consideration the $150000 dollars start mark the first copy of “Janesis” album was sold for.

Before the grand release of “Janesis”, the album was auctioned at a first bid of ¢1000, then it rose to ¢5000 and finally an anonymous fan of Efya who refused to disclose his identity raised the bar to Efya’s first 150000 US Dollars on the night.




Quite a margin for the ‘One of your Own’ hitmaker. The twenty-one tracked album was released on Friday, April 22nd’16.

Efya’s “Janesis” album release was successful with the support she had from Jack Denials and the attendance by her Mother, Nana Adwoa Awindor, some family members and friends. CEO of EIB Network, owners of Starr FM, Live FM amongst others, Bola Ray joined Reggie Rockstone, Dee Money, XO Senavoe, Jupitar, Tinny, Episode, Kiki Benson and Moesha Boduong in attendance to make the four-time VGMA best female vocalist winner’s album launching a bliss.
