Beyonce features Blue Ivy in ‘Formation’, the Politically Charged Video
Beyonce has released a new single “Formation” along with a politically charged music video. But for now let’s have a view of the powerful clip.
The visuals were set in New Orleans and it features shots of Bey lying on top of a sinking New Orleans police cruiser as well as a graffiti’d wall that says, “Stop shooting us.”
There’s also a scene of a black child in a hoodie dancing in front of a line of police officers in riot gear.
The smashing video has scenes of Beyonce wearing a GucciSS16 tulle dress at one point, and another scene also shows a man holding up a newspaper called “The Truth” with an image of Martin Luther King Jr. on the front page captioned, “More than a dreamer.”
My favourite part was when the lovely adorable Blue Ivy Carter made way in the video with her friends! This is just a hint that Blue could have been featured on her mother’s forthcoming album.
“Formation” has a lot in there with features from Big Freedia, the Queen Diva of New Orleans Bounce!
Also, Queen Bey took some shots at critics and all those who slandered Blue’s hair, Jay-Z’s nose and those who always link her to the illuminati.
“I just might be a black Bill Gates in the making,” Beyonce sings on the track produced by Mike WiLL Made- It.
Formation to me is the blackest, countriest, southernest, dopest, bravest, ratchetest music video I’ve seen in a while. It has it all. Ladies, get the FORMATION!
Watch the music video below, share and come back for the audio.
