Former Real Madrid star David Beckham has praised Real Madrid’s decision to appoint former Castilla manager Zinedine Zidane as the club’s new manager.
Zidane’s appointment comes after the dismissal of former coach Rafa Benitez, who had only been appointed in the summer.
Beckham described him as the “best man for the job.”
Beckham wrote on his Instagram: “Does it get any better than this ?? A man that has been the best at a game we all love, taking over of a club that myself and many more people love… Someone with drive , passion and also doesn’t accept failure on any level.. Taking over from a manager that has huge experience and respect in the game, but taking on a position that he will relish … THE BEST PERSON FOR THE JOB”
Beckham and Zidane were teammates during Los Blancos’ Galaticos era of the early 2000s.
