Rapper 50 Cent has been in the news recently after filing for bankruptcy and in court papers in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Hartford, Conn., Mr. Jackson reported assets and debts each in the range of $10 million to $50 million where the rapper claims he owes Curtis Jackson Snr, $1,737.33, Bentley $137,880, and American Express $64,909 though, in his debt in two court judgements he lost, which totals $23m.
Yesterday, 50 Cent appeared in Manhattan Supreme court and told the court that, the expensive Bentleys, Lamborghinis and all the flashy lifestyle he live is on borrowing and not his.
The rapper under oath said; ‘those cars were rented.’
‘It’s like music videos, they say action and you see all these fancy cars but everything goes back to the dealership.’ he added.
50 Cent told the court he only owns 3 jewelries and occasionally gets his friend who works in the jewelry industry to melt them and create new blings out of them for him. Adding a statement to his many blings he said; ‘I borrowed from the jeweler.’
Ask to why he maintains this fake lifestyle, Curtis Jackson told the court that ‘You gotta smile when you’re in a public situation. If you’re crying they’re just having more fun with you.’
